It is with great pleasure and a sense of accomplishment that I present this thesis, which is the culmination
of years of hard work, dedication and perseverance.
First and foremost, I would like to thank my supervisors, Ioulia Ossokina, Theo Arentze and Aloys Borgers,

insights shaped my research and helped me achieve my goals. I would also like to thank my family and
