The aim of the thesis is to compile an inventory of irrational investing behaviors, in order to examine if they are applicable to direct investing in Dutch real estate by Dutch private real estate investors, and if so, to highlight their possible consequences as a progression towards an optimal decision making process with regards to these behaviors in the future. Therefore there is been looked which irrational behaviors, already known within behavioral finance, are exhibited by Dutch private real estate investors while direct investing in Dutch real estate and which negative consequences are expected by the manifested irrational behaviors of Dutch private real estate investors while direct investing in Dutch real estate.
